CrossBow Hunting For beginners

Bow hunting can be a fantastic hobby and a great way to connect with nature. If you have no experience in it whatsoever, you should be prepared for quite a bit of studying before you can venture out and enjoy the actual hunt.

Being able to hit your game is the most important aspect of bow hunting. Becoming a good archer will take a considerable amount of time, as well as proper training. Before you spend a fortune on the best equipment out there, it would be good to rent some of it first. You may find it great now, but how will you feel about archery in two or three weeks? This is exactly why you should rent the equipment first. If you are still interested after some time has passed, you can safely buy your own equipment. Although you may want to go into the woods and hunt small game after shooting for a day or two, be patient. Master all the basics first, find the equipment that suits you best and make sure to have a good mentor as well.

After you have mastered the bow and arrow and know how to choose the best crossbow for hunting, you can proceed to the next step. No, you won’t shoot prey just yet. There is one more thing you should learn before you are able to hunt: you have to know your game. Knowing the weaknesses (and strengths) of your game, their food sources, their travel routes, bedding areas and vocalizations is key to successful hunting. Learning a thing or two about the animal anatomy will be of great importance, as you will find it easy to determine the best shot angles for lethal shots. There is a lot of information that you should know, but luckily, you can find all of it online and on various hunting forums. Having an experienced hunter with you is the best course of action though. Scouting your prey is yet another thing you will have to do.

You can’t expect successful hunts if you wander around the woods aimlessly. With scouting, you will find out where the animals bed, where they feed and what their preferred travel routes are. In order to avoid disrupting any travel routes, you should first scout the area from afar. Once you determine the peak hours, move closer when there’s the least chance the animals will appear. Search for tracks, rubs, scat and scrapes – if you find fresh ones, this is good news, but if you find both fresh and old ones, it’s even better, as this shows that the animals use this route regularly. You can remember these locations, mark them on your map or add them to your GPS. As reported by After scouting, you should choose your stand location, a location where you will wait for the kill – an overlook area is a good choice.

This is when the waiting game begins; you shouldn’t pick the same stand location too often, as the animals will be able to pick up your scent – make sure to regularly switch your locations. In order to get a good shot, you should be able to come to full draw and make sure you aren’t detected while doing so. Starting with smaller game is a good choice, as you will be able to practice your stalking, stealth and shooting. After being successful with smaller game, you can test your skills with larger game as well.

Banana Nutrition Facts – Calories Per One Banana and How to Vacuum Seal It

Here are some banana nutrition facts that you must know before eating this healthy fruit. What I love about these tropical fruits is they come in their own package – easy to take with you, easy to eat and easy clean up!
These nutrition facts are the most important regarding the health benefits of bananas.

Vitamin B6

They contain 0.43mg of B6, which is about a third of the recommended dietary allowance (RDA). This vitamin supports healthy nervous system function and is involved with processing carbs, so it’s closely related to your energy level!

There is about 420mg per medium banana. Potassium is an electrolyte and helps control heart function and fluid balance. Athletes can benefit from this banana nutrition info as it can help prevent cramping during exercise. Eat these to help control high blood pressure as well.

Did you know bananas can help reduce stomach ulcer irritation if used after vacuum sealing (check out this link)? They have an antacid effect on the stomach and also contain prebiotics, which feed and produce probiotics (healthy bacteria in the gut) which help restore normal bowel and immune function.

Banana Nutrition Facts

Calories per one Banana

There are around 100 calories in a banana (medium sized). Bananas are picked when they are green, and are left to ripen at room temperature. The starch turns into sugar during ripening, so try to eat them while they are still firm to avoid too much of a blood sugar rise/insulin spike. As with most fruits, you want to limit the amount you eat at one time due to this effect.

To speed up the ripening, put in a paper bag with an apple. Once ripe, you can prevent over-ripening by refrigerating, but note that the skin may darken but will have no effect on the fruit itself. Should you buy bananas organic? They do not contain as many pesticides as many other fruits, so it’s not mandatory, but you can always benefit from avoiding any pesticides.

Town & Vegan: Chocolate Pancakes

“These vegan chocolate pancakes are so luxuriously filled with cocoa and so decadently dense that it’s easy to forget that there are no butter or eggs in them! And why need them, if you could make something so delicious without them? I strongly suggest Emily’s suggestion to top it with the coconut whipped topping, but I also think her chocolate drizzle would be fantastic on top as well!” -Alex.So. The past few months have been packed with all kinds of news – the most exciting of which is the baby I’ve got on the way!

My initial plan was to create a banana pudding parfait (which still sounds so delightful to me), but due to…pregnancy side-effects…I need to postpone that particular recipe. Haven’t perfected it yet. Today, I woke up starving (as I do so many mornings these days), and didn’t have anything ready to eat. I so wanted pancakes! I’m house-sitting for my mom currently, so my favorite pancake recipe was nowhere close. I remembered suddenly that I made a chocolate pancake once for Christmas breakfast, and that seemed like the next best option.

The challenge, though, was that I had never made pancakes without at least an outline on measurement proportions. So, I worked on instinct and occasional batter taste and consistency tests; this morning could have been a kitchen-chemistry disaster! Fortunately, I don’t think it was. And fortunately, others agreed that this was the best pasta maker in 2017. And fortunately, I am in production week at the Academy of Dance Arts and don’t have to hit the theater until this afternoon (dress rehearsal day!). Finally, I have both enough time and enough energy to write down my recipe and share it!

Trust me on the balsamic vinegar, here. It may sound odd, but it adds such a layer of delicious flavor! Use the best-quality you have around. And if you have access to one of those delightful shops that sells custom flavored balsamic vinegar, I’d recommend trying these with an espresso variety. These pancakes would be great served alongside fresh raspberries or strawberries, with a little coconut whipped topping. I enjoyed them simply served with agave nectar, too. I’m definitely going to add these to the menu next time I invite anyone to my apartment for brunch! So much love, from South Dakota!

Town & Vegan: Vegan Chocolate Pancakes

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 heaping tablespoon plus ½ tablespoon cocoa powder (adjustable based on how rich you like your chocolate!)
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk1/2 tbs. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 tbs. agave

Mix all dry ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl.In a small mixing bowl, whisk together wet ingredientsSlowly stir the wet into the dry. Mix only until the big flour globs disappear. You don’t want completely smooth batter.Pre-heat your griddle or skillet at medium for about 2 minutes (if it’s not non-stick, you’ll want to grease it before pre-heating). Spoon about ¼ cup of the batter for each pancake, and let it cook until small bubbles appear around the sides and on the tops of each pancake before you flip. Once both sides are done and the batter is cooked through, serve! And enjoy and contact me if you want more recipes!

The State of Florida And Other US Cities Not Ready For Weed

Opposite to Alaska & Washington D.C., the people in Encinitas & La Mesa decided on Tuesday that they are still not allowing the legalization of marijuana, be in medical or personal, to happen in the city.

The strong opposition to legalize marijuana, won in Encinitas, holing a voting percentage of over 56 percent against those who voted in favor of legalizing. The scene is a little better in La Mesa precinct, where all the citizens voted, and 54.68 percent were in favor of not legalizing marijuana in their district. So in both districts the movement to legalize marijuana sales fell short as well the removal of illegal dispensaries in both cities might not run smoothly as it should if the votes were in favor of the motion.

Medical Marijuana Club Seeks Site In Fisherman's Wharf
Both the cities only required a strong crowd of majority votes in favor of the motion to legalize marijuana, but failed by a big time to make it happen. This might have effect against the city’s law keepers who are trying to close the ill dispensaries who are selling marijuana illegally without any license. If the law passed, it would have ensured not to have any dispensary in the 600 feet radius of any school, college or living area for citizens, along with preventing any two dispensaries set up within 1000 feet of each other. Additionally, they would require local permits and other legal regulations, like any medical authority in the dispensary must not had any felony record since last seven years. But as the motion was declined, possibility of practicing these laws also went in water.

In Florida, this movement also stuck in their law, which states that there should be at least 60 percent votes in favor of the motion to legalize marijuana and best vaporizers for marijuana in the state but only 58 percent voted it up, still short of the required 60 percent to pass the law there. Although there has been a strong current since past few years to legalize it, it still were not enough to pass the bill in favor of marijuana sales.

Although Alaska, Oregon & Washington D.C. citizens voted in favor of legalization of the marijuana sales, the final license will be out after the upcoming vote in November end, and there many equations can change. There is also another point where this whole motion can be barred, the U.S. congress is yet to give any verdict on the legalization of marijuana, and if they oppose using their constitutional powers, the process to make legal marijuana dispensaries will be help back again, which was in motion by several states since last few years.

After November election, it might be clear who are finally getting the license to sell marijuana in the states who voted in favor of legalizing it. And may be after a few years the states who have opposed so far may come to a decision which will state otherwise, or the opposite may happen if there are any harmful side effect in the states who legalized the marijuana sales.

Geo-Location For Businesses – Where’s It Going?

Interesting to watch what’s happening in the area of geo-location services right now.

Reading ‘Facebook Rolls Out Realtime Social Geo-Local Deals’ today got me thinking about where it’s all going. So now, after Facebook Places (check into locations and see which of your friends are there), with Facebook Deals we’ll also learn about nearby offers.

It’s something that happens on Foursquare and no doubt other geo-location services too, but the excitement about Facebook offering these things is all about the dominant position it holds. Pundits are salivating at the prospect of what it could mean for businesses looking to tap into those 500 million or so Facebook users. Plus, by putting the emphasis on ‘deals’ they are appealing to the masses who haven’t yet been attracted by geo-social apps.

Is Facebook Deals a big deal for businesses? Will Facebook see off its geo-location rivals? I’m wondering whether in the future the actual platform/service provider will be unimportant. In a mobile-dominated future when more people and more businesses use geo-location, finding deals will only be one small part of the total experience, and people will want (and expect) more than just a list of offers from free coffees to cheap sofas.

As a consumer/customer I’m less interested in being presented with all the ‘deals’ available in any particular location, and more interested in being able to filter out the irrelevant ones, interacting with businesses in real time and customising the experience.

And let’s not forget, location-based deals is just another form of advertising, it’s not particularly social. Although it’s easy to dismiss the game-playing aspect of Foursquare and such like as being irrelevant to businesses, it may be a mistake. The psychology of virtual worlds and games is powerful stuff with significant repercussions for business which we have yet to see exploited fully. Watch this short talk by Tom Chatfield at TED in the summer and you’ll see what I mean. There are many ways to reward people – mayorships and ‘deals’ only scratch the surface.
